Open Water for example...with horror movies you KNOW theres not really a monster in the closet....you dont know that theres not a shark swim

I definitely consider "Open Water" to be a horror movie. Granted, pretty much the only thing that scares me are sharks. But that's the point

I like the classic movie Alien for this. Yes they had 'jump' out moments, but they slowly built up the suspense to the point your squirming.

Actually I used to love horror but now, horror is more splatter, grossout and truly depraved behavior in some. I liked supernatural horror.
