Seek out a PTA, a Quentin, a Joel Coen, Fincher, come on man, do you care in the slightest about making a great film?

You could have worked with any single artist of your choice. Now, I'm not so sure anymore, since you've gone so far down the road of choosing paycheck after paycheck, you and Robert Downey Jr I guess you just don't care about it. So, I don't care either. I just don't go to this crap.

At least with Black Mass, Rango, and Public Enemies, I felt you were honestly trying. Those movies have a quality to them. Rango and Enemies in particular, you were trying to entertain me and make me feel like I was watching quality storytelling.

Most of everything else is the obvious quirky big budget crap. It's been such an obvious joke for years now, will Hollywood cast ANYBODY else for a role like Willy Wonka, or Mad Hatter, or Barnabus Collins. OF COURSE you accept those roles. How about turning a couple of them down in favor of making something special?

It's become such a letdown.

Oh well, maybe i'll put in Ed Wood or Donnie Brasco one of these evenings. Like everything else, those were the days.

Wow ! Could it be That audiences are getting tired of these comic book and CGI freakshows ??? On the more Human Side of all this, i just saw JMT-NL May 30, 10:23

Actually, it's more of a sign they're getting sick of sequels to poor movies too many years too late. Alice is what flopped--not the X-Men. {nm} chosenone2oo5 May 30, 10:46

I play based on awareness based on my regular patterns and neither movie was well promoted based what I saw. Also, these big tentpoles are leo21 May 30, 11:08

+1 (though X-Men's fans prove far more loyal than Alice's) {nm} chosenone2oo5 May 30, 11:12

Marvel Fatigue has quickly become Marvel Dry-Heave (trade mark pending) {nm} DTshakes May 30, 12:38

Perhaps a separate X-Men fatigue. Fox has done bout as many movies on them as all of the MCU. lol {nm} Dorfman May 31, 05:00

Weather was beautiful in much of the USA on a holiday weekend. Lots of people with other things to do than hit a movie BSmurf May 30, 10:47

to each their own i guess but I don't see TREK3 as a remedy to "CGI freakshows" {nm} Rioter May 30, 11:56

Hey Johnny Depp: Make a good movie bro! Make me excited about you being an actor again! I dare ya! {nm} goodvibe61 May 30, 11:06

He hasn't been good since Donny Brasco IMO. His other roles are just ridiculousness. {nm} Hersheybar May 30, 11:14

Have you seen Black Mass? {nm} DTshakes May 30, 12:39

He was fantastic in that. {nm} tatoufan May 30, 12:47

Yup!! But looking at his IMDb page the only other classic since Brasco is Fear & Loathing. {nm} DTshakes May 30, 14:29

I think it's time for him to go back to small movies and ditch the blockbusters completely...come full circle {nm} tealfan May 30, 11:22

I kinda liked Cry-Baby too for all it's quirkyness. {nm} Dorfman May 31, 05:03
