No that requires continued performance.

Posted by: medv4380 on Jul 18, 14:39 in response to bennyg1985's post I thought Hersheybar and chosenone2oo5 told us estimates...

Given that the audiance was about 56% female and not a 75% female like other female targeted movies its something to be sceptical about. It's not a movie doing well with its percieved target demo, and its not the standard heavy male target demo. So predicting the future retention will be hard just off of that. You can't use Bridesmaids performance to try and predict because the audiance is clearly not alligned the same. Furthermore, the Rotten Tommato score is out of alignment. Using just Top Critic scores it got a 58% which is in line with the audiance score of 57% So are top critics all the hyper sexist fan boys internet nerds, or are the general critcs miss aligned due to a desire not to be lumped in with a fictious sexis internet nerd? The top critics are rarely so helter scelter miss aligned from general critics in this way which makes me doubt any prediction about the movies future wihtout a healthy doss of pessimism.Ā

Right, I'm sure everyone was confident in the 46 call by Sony being on the money. {nm} Hersheybar Jul 18, 16:35

i think its more like most of us dont care. Its out. its did what it did. it didn't bomb. people think its good not great. now its over. Moviesnob Jul 18, 17:00

Just because it did less than your expectations doesn't mean it was a bomb {nm} JDolphin Jul 18, 20:24

I'm just going to start calling those people "Rowan." {nm} jjmarino Jul 18, 22:24

We could've assumed it was inflated (THR even suspected Sony of such), but fact is Sony is still plugging this when, yeah, let's move on now {nm} chosenone2oo5 Jul 18, 22:25
