Like Delta_Force, I bought a tkt to the 1st avaialbe show @ 6pm in L.A. Mine was one of the last 10 tickets left, theater was packed. Without spoiling anything, I felt that there was too much WSMIT, not nearly enough JLETO. MROBB's lines felt forced & BAFFL's scenes as Batman were some of the film's best.
Enough fanboy tears.. as a HSX trader: buy & hold for the wknd, then sell long & SSHORT on the adjust, sit back & ride this straight down to the delist. Just like SUPE2, this will make a splash then fade fast as the smell catches-up with it. I'm sorry, but the DCEU is doomed to underperform the MCU as long as WB puts it in the hands of hacks like DAYER & ZSNYD.Ā
That said, I'm hopeful for WONDR (dir. by Patty Jenkins) & AQUMN (dir. by JWAN). I read that THR article "'Suicide Squad's' Secret Drama: Rushed Production, Competing Cuts, High Anxiety" and I recall the excerpt:
"A source with knowledge of events says Warners executives, nervous from the start, grew more anxious after they were blindsided and deeply rattled by the tepid response to BvS. "(Warners chief Kevin Tsujihara) was really pissed about damage to the brand," says one executive close to the studio.
Well Kevin, you did it again.
