The criminal court worker, who's the protagonist/lead role, definitely finds the real killer back in the seventies. There's no doubt about it. I'm sure browsing some synopsises or reading reviews on RT will also confirm that. I could go further, but it's probably not necessary. Anyhow, as it stands right now, it's misleading. Here's the part that's wrong:
"The Secret in Their Eyes centers on a retired criminal court worker investigating a past murder for a book. He realizes the real killer was never caught and embarks on a mission to find him."
I checked Variety's review, and it's too ambiguous as well.
