Me too. I am about to finish the book myself. Loved it, and it's hard to believe with Spielberg at the helm this won't be huge.
This film should have a massive appeal (imo). The story is so easily likable. I thought audiences would include all Spielberg fans, anyone who digs 80s culture, arcade-style video games, modern gaming, sci-fi films, adventure films, young romance films, pop and rock music lovers, tech, pretty much anyone who was called a 'freak and geek' plus their kids... huge.
+ Ben Mendelsohn as the main antagonist! :-). Dang, I know I'll be there opening day.
