God no. Please just stop. Marvel is really reaching for the artistic high ground here aren't they. What's next.

I guess now the door is open for two or three versions of every Marvel movie. All it takes is a couple of extra takes of half a dozen scenes, and you've got either a cleaned up or dirtied up version, fit to sell some more tickets to the lemmings.

Throw in a few f bombs from the bad guys, maybe reveal a little more skin in a couple of outfits, you got your R rated version of any of this crap. It can just go on and on.

I"m sure it will. Can there be any doubt?

THR: [ALITA] blinks, moves to Feb. 14, 2019. The untitled Deadpool movie will open in wide release on Dec. 21, 2018?! Antibody Sep 28, 12:47

DL: It's a PG-13 version of Deadpool 2. [XMEN7] moves to June 7. [GAMBI] moves to March 13, 2020. Antibody Sep 28, 12:49

For what it's worth, the DEADPOOL 2 post-release Hall H SDCC presentation was the heaviest attended this year (beating even WB) notfabio Sep 28, 13:21

In fairness, could be more Fox than Marvel. {nm} ~JPV~ Sep 28, 15:15

"There is speculation that the untitled Deadpool film could be a PG-13 re-release of the R-rated property." {nm} ~JPV~ Sep 28, 12:50

Wouldn't that be like the "edited for TV" version of 'Debbie Does Dallas'? {nm} DTravel Sep 28, 16:48

Hoping for lots of added jokes about the pg-13 aspect {nm} Kevman66 Sep 28, 17:29

As mentioned before, the weakest move, not the strongest (AQUMN), Who gets the IMAX screens? {nm} Antibody Sep 28, 12:59

I don’t know if I would call Aquaman the strongest, I have it third. Still, amazed it wasn’t Holmes and Watson, still with no trailer. {nm} austpow Sep 28, 13:07

Ferrell and Reilly pretty much sell themselves at this point {nm} slipping jimmy Sep 28, 13:11

Maybe, but I still remember how Walk Hard got killed at Xmas, a shame because that movie was terrific. {nm} austpow Sep 28, 13:16

That was sold entirely on Reilly and was a tough sell. {nm} notfabio Sep 28, 13:55

HLMWT is a comedy. ALITA was competing with AQUMN and TFRM6. {nm} Antibody Sep 28, 13:15

Yes, but I would be more worried about Bumblebee than AQUMN, buzz on Bee has been shockingly great, could save franchise. {nm} austpow Sep 28, 13:17

AQUAMAN was already getting IMAX and was splitting IMAX screens either it'll now get all of them or Bumblebee will take some. {nm} notfabio Sep 28, 13:16

Feels like this was solving two problems at once, less about Aliya being weak than needing to fill the valuable date. {nm} austpow Sep 28, 13:10

oh it looked like a stinkbomb from the trailer {nm} slipping jimmy Sep 28, 13:13
