Every theater in town (Lexington, KY - a city of 250k people), including the big theater showing Harry Potter on 9 screens, sold out their midnight shows. We waited until the last minute (noon on Tuesday) to get tickets, and had to go to a theater in a nearby town that hadn't yet sold out its four screens. They let us into the theater at 10:45 because the lobby was filled to capacity. Then each time the lobby got full they opened another theater (three additional times.) I've been to a lot of midnight releases, and have never seen any like this.
