You are asking the wrong question
Remakes etc have little to do with creativity.
Studio executives will produce what's easier (ie less risky and cheaper) to sell to audiences. And everything with a brand or name awareness like remakes or movies based on known brands/properties fall under that.
If you want more original movies and less remakes - there is a simple solution: stop watching them. The second the public stops supporting remakes, the studios will stop making them.
You're accusing the wrong people: you should **** about the general moviegoers which are watching bad remakes and not original fare or even a well made drama.
