For the curious, IMAX works into all their contracts that if release date/window change, they are free to cancel the IMAX release.

Doesn't mean they necessarily will, something like the release date changes on STAR7 and STAR9 they'll work with, because, well, STAR WARS.

In recent years, they also have more flexibility to drop a stinker, they used to be locked into 2-3 week runs, but with the proliferation of competitive PLF formats (XD, RPX, etc) that generally don't have those terms to contend with anymore.
