...no acknowledgement that NRG and others were being deprived of revenue by the practice of sharing this info around, and with or without movie futures this practice was wrong.
Studios may be concerned that this info somehow represents inside info and circulating it puts them at risk. I am not sure that's the right conclusion, as anyone is free to engage tracking surveys, subscribe for other services etc. However, I assume the NRG numbers are put together factoring in additional, studio provided info (screen numbers, marketing spend etc.), in which case maybe there is concern.
No more tracking for Jeff Wells! Victory! :) RupertPupkin Apr 29, 10:04
victory? {nm} Moviesnob Apr 29, 10:07
Yes. He shouldn't have been posting raw numbers in the first place. {nm} RupertPupkin Apr 29, 10:13
Will Notfabio still be able to post his tracking numbers? {nm} Nordic Apr 29, 10:16
Notfabio doesn't use NRG and doesn't post raw numbers, so I doubt he'll change. {nm} RupertPupkin Apr 29, 10:23
And yet you don't have a problem with that even though RS's analysis is less reliable than my analysis of NRG {nm} secretstalker Apr 29, 11:10
I don't have a problem with it because I think RS is a joke. No one takes them seriously. {nm} RupertPupkin Apr 29, 11:18
And people take Jeffrey Wells seriously? (or me for that matter?) {nm} secretstalker Apr 29, 11:23
The studio is obviously wanting to keep the info to itself and make big $$$ on Cantor {nm} RogerMore Apr 29, 12:04
You're missing the point (as usual) RupertPupkin Apr 29, 12:23
