It's still definitely possible someone pulls a Philip Anschutz and buys what's left of AMC and 1-2 other chains (and it now can actually be a studio) and forms a new chain. All the AMC Classic locations (the non reclinered older theatres) are likely what they'll shut down.
Cineworld (Regal) ludicrously is still planning to move forward with their acquisition of Cineplex, but they also should be offloading and not acquiring more theatres.
