Perhaps I am being too sensitive, but can we retire the use of "raping" in place of pillaging? I understand the source of the term
as it relates to what Vikings and barabrian hordes used to do, but in modern times, it is more closely associated with sexual violence. We have a wealth of words to use- let's do better in moving our use of words forward.
BTW, this is the first time I can recall reading something that I found objectionable from notfabio, so I am not accusing notfabio of being insensitive or misogynistic. I think notfabio is a fairminded and good person. We all have blindspots.
