George Clooney is angling to shoot a feature film in his own backyard — or rather his own stretch of the Thames.

The actor and filmmaker is working on the story of The Boys In The Boat, about a team of working-class oarsmen who made a bid for a gold medal at the 1936 Berlin Olympics.

'The river's there, at the bottom of my garden!' the superstar said, when asked where he planned to shoot the rowing scenes.
