I thought he was fine, but that's it. It points out yet again how little artistry is needed to be a competent actor in Hollywood.
You can slot anybody into these roles, particularly when they're supporting. You've got Pugh, who is truly gifted, carrying the vast majority of the load in this. You can "insert" Styles any way you'd like. He draws teen girls. Evidently, via selling out 15 consecutive nights at MSG, he draws more than teen girls.
I'm already starting to wish there's a way to escape the guy. I don't give one rip about his middling pop music. He's the opposite of a classic rock star (the opposite of having a strong personality) and now I've got to deal with him when i go to the movies too?
But again, lots of people, LOTS, could've competently played that role.
So much of the plot driven dialog just stops Don't Worry Darling dead in its tracks. It just doesn't work. Sep 24, 17:00
