MTC was about 15 points to high on opening weekend for Shrek 4. RS was way worse, at least 40 points too high.

Posted by: Facto on Jun 18, 11:24 in response to Guillo's post let's remember MTC is 108 for [TOYS3] and 8 for [JOHEX]

MTC was also too high on MacGruber, that same weekend, tracking it almost twice as high as it actually opened. Again though, RS was way worse, tracking it almost 4 times higher than what it did on OW.

Incorrect gut checks time!!! This week is too easy so i'll go with #s ...Short Hex w/$11M and Long Toy with a whopping 125! {nm} bennyboy10 Jun 18, 08:59

Don't you need to re-load your incorrectness for a few weeks.. ? Seem to recall you were 2/2 last time around ;-) {nm} Facto Jun 18, 09:01

Yep .. Bennyboy is unreliable now after last week's success. {nm} grammar Jun 18, 09:18

So grammar, how are you playing this weekend's openers? {nm} MoneyMagnet Jun 18, 09:42

I have to go short on johex and long toys :) {nm} grammar Jun 18, 09:44

I'm taking a big risk here shorting Toys, but we'll see how it goes I guess =) {nm} MoneyMagnet Jun 18, 09:48

Same Here {nm} MrsRobinson Jun 18, 10:39

Yeah, we'll see. And if this shorting business goes south, I will forever remember your advice, and how awfully wrong you were.. Facto Jun 18, 14:52

^ ^ ^ Not to be taken too seriously... The part about the name change... Just a suggestion.. ;-) {nm} Facto Jun 18, 15:07

refresh my memory ; You 'think' HEX is a long and TOY a short, so you call the reverse. ( but your hsx$ is on HEX-long and TOY-short )? {nm} JMT Jun 18, 09:22

Lol, no I give what i'm holding...but i was wrong for 7+ straight weeks, so it was like saying "these are likely incorrect" {nm} bennyboy10 Jun 18, 10:43

I can do better than that for incorrect gut check. Short Toy (80) and Long Hex (14). Guillo Jun 18, 09:25

I'm shorting TOY. Tom Hanks made people hate him. Parents are broke. No one over 10 would rush to this. {nm} Borat Jun 18, 09:27

*laughing* {nm} CSBD Jun 18, 09:56

I don't hate Tom. hah {nm} grammar Jun 18, 10:32

Long on HEX, If i had the cash i would shot Toy {nm} idrom Jun 18, 09:32

I'm going long on TOYS3 (not as optimistic on opening weekend though) and short JOHEX. {nm} secretstalker Jun 18, 09:35

scary that I'm right there with you...except I think Hex is more in the $7M range {nm} lapuckfan Jun 18, 09:45

Short them all, just because I like being negative. {nm} shadowking Jun 18, 09:54

Anti Gut check. I'm long on both. I have been wrong a lot of weeks this year so I'm going AGAINST my gut this time. {nm} kcangel Jun 18, 09:57

Oops not long on both. Long on TOYS3, shorting JOHEX. {nm} kcangel Jun 18, 09:58

TOYS3's current price needs a $110 million opening & I think that may be a stretch for OW. Legs of steel though. And short JOHEX, too. {nm} helmetz Jun 18, 10:01

shorting both {nm} Goines12 Jun 18, 11:04

long woody *snicker*...short jonah {nm} tealfan Jun 18, 12:17
