Is Shyamalan still a big name director or a director well known for making flops? I think he long ago...

Posted by: mrbeankc on Jul 01, 02:16 in response to islander's post short. big name director and 3D pricing, but cant believe...

used up the reputation he earned with 6th Sense. Likely Signs is the only decent film he's made since.

I am Long on BENDR despite bad reviews. {nm} hawkfanatic2 Jul 01, 00:07

yes, gutchecktime for the little bald kfkid. SHORT. {nm} JMT Jul 01, 00:21

short. big name director and 3D pricing, but cant believe brand is anymore known in mainstream than poor films like dragonball or yugioh {nm} islander Jul 01, 01:00

Is Shyamalan still a big name director or a director well known for making flops? I think he long ago... mrbeankc Jul 01, 02:16

well his name is above the title, so someone still thinks he's big :) also, am I the only person who hated signs??? {nm} islander Jul 01, 03:58

at this point his name could be a bad thing for promotion {nm} nero5150 Jul 01, 05:50

short...but just because I still have hope the movie going public has taste (stop laughing)....i feel bad for the franchise {nm} APRedona Jul 01, 01:06

Checking tweets on it. Lots of SPAM in there, for some reason.. "Do you like hot girls" etc. What's up with that? More: Facto Jul 01, 02:08

Short. This could be the film that once and for all ends Shyamalan's downfall from hit Hollywood director to ultimate underachiever. {nm} mrbeankc Jul 01, 02:12

Was going to say "indeed", but perhaps he could redeem himself if he makes another mainstream sci-fi thriller a la Signs.. ? {nm} Facto Jul 01, 02:35

Staying Long for the weekend (at the current price). {nm} joeoftexas Jul 01, 03:44

It's been awhile since I've seen tracking defied so strongly, and I believe many will regret shorting BENDR. Rolling_Thunder Jul 01, 04:03

from yesterday: Wells of hollywood elsewhere who posts tracking alot: "No buzz, nobody's talking about it..." islander Jul 01, 04:14

Anything's possible, but the toxic WOM is far more likely to settle in after the first weekend. {nm} Rolling_Thunder Jul 01, 04:17

If the movie is horrible enough, it kicks in way faster. To wit, Jonah Hex, only a couple of weeks ago... {nm} Facto Jul 01, 06:17

Who are the "we" you are reffering to there... ? {nm} Facto Jul 01, 06:15

Same here.... the marketing is strong enough that reviews will mainly be ignored at least opening weekend {nm} secretstalker Jul 01, 04:12

Short. People stood up and booed at the end of the movie, so I'm told. {nm} Hooray360 Jul 01, 05:30

What about tall people? {nm} shadowking Jul 01, 05:40

They actually do got a reason to live. {nm} Hooray360 Jul 01, 05:44

Short people don't? {nm} Facto Jul 01, 08:03

Long, but I'm not confident in that. shadowking Jul 01, 05:42

Big money no whammies aaaaaand STOP! Long at the current price. {nm} drsexington Jul 01, 06:01

Thanks for the laugh!!! If you had posted earlier, that might have convinced to flip (well, no - but you get points for laugh of the day!) {nm} JDolphin Jul 01, 14:42

Was planning to short at first, but am confident on long at it's current price. {nm} HurricaneKid Jul 01, 09:02

I know the price has dropped a lot, but I'm sticking with my short ChrisEW Jul 01, 09:17
