I have been to this theatre I about 3 times. It's a cute theatre in a cute college town but was outdated when it opened brand new.

They opened as recliners were taking off with cramped uncomfortable seating (even by non-recliner standards). It's less than 8 minutes away from an Edwards (Regal) that was forced to reclinerize when AMC went in which is less than 3 minutes away from the AMC it mentions.

So overscreening is definitely an issue here and as you mention they aren't really doing too much to make themselves stand out from the AMC or the Regal (like most mostly indie theatres they were forced to book traditional wide releases) and that is at least partly out of their control.

I am pretty sure it'll be out by 2026 and would not be shocked if AMC closes down the Regal by 2026/2027. This is only about 12 minutes away from the infamously overscreened 10/15 freeway Ontario 22 and AMC 30 that reside in the same parking lot!
