agree with quite a bit of this...(spoilers)
particularly:
- Tom Hardy: have seen him in a few things before, but right from his first screen time in this I was conscious of how good his performance was. That said, thought the cast as a whole was excellent.
- the visuals: some really original stuff, but 3 of the 4 levels of the heist didn't have anyting particularly special. For example, the hotel corridoor stuff didnt have the wow factor or impact other similar work has.
- the action scenes (particulalry the mountain set): just felt very flat, almost unexciting. Maybe it was knowing that it was all dream based but I thought there was an opportunity for more tension.
I feel like I am being hyper-critical, when I actually liked it. I saw it 3 days ago and am still thinking about it, that's always a good thing.
