They shouldn't have called it Michael. Start there. Still, critics would trash ANY MJ film that's NOT about the sordid portion.

For most of the general public, Michael Jackson is the huge villain. I get that.

It's unfortunate for some people, who lived through Jackson's rise, from the early 70's and through the 80's. Because those people would love to see a film about that rise and that artistry. But you just can't do it at this point. It doesn't work.

It's like Polanski; it's like Woody Allen. You can't make a film about Chinatown; 90 percent of "critics" will trash it. Same with a film about Annie Hall, Manhattan, Crimes and Misdemeanors, and on down the line, masterpiece after masterpiece; THAT film will get trashed.

You cannot discuss the work of those people at all at this point. You're trash and a fool to even try.

So for someone like me, a SoCal native, which was the home of the MJ artistic explosion, someone who was actually at that final Victory Tour concert at Dodger Stadium, the end of those sold out L.A. shows, where MJ made the announcement he was done with the J5: I won't.
