After a Few Flops, Studios Are Playing Down 3-D

Eventually, this was bound to happen... 2 page article dated 12 Sep 10. 3D stopped being a selling point for me a while ago. Regardless of 2D or 3D, I evaluate the movie on its content and merit...like before 3D. In my opinion, 3D might be an expensive investment for movies that just simply lack the content to gain their money back.

The only non-Avatar 3D films to use the tech well have been MBV3D and RE: AferLife

I wear glasses and it's okay. Kind of annoying at first but you get used to it.

Real D does offer kids sizes now, goggles get too hot and get used as heavy slingshots by kids.

Disney apparently is going to subtle with their 3D advertising on Tangled, 3D is nowhere to be found on its domestic poster.
