Look at numbers, spoof movies don't bomb

Posted by: Lucky856 on Sep 28, 17:29 in response to Krubino's post I suppose all I can say is we'll see.

For you to say that all the other spoof movies bombed shows just how ignorant you are to this.  Yes, those movies are all sins to humanity and terrible beyond words, but the reason they keep getting made is that each and every one turns a profit, usually around $40 million.  "Meet The Spartans" for example grossed $84 million.

Just because people use facebook does not mean they are willing to pay ten dollars to see how a bunch of Harvard kids created it.

Why are RS's numbers reported as ranges and not whole numbers? Arcsol Sep 27, 10:17

It's only within the last month or two that they've started being reported here as ranges. Before that is was always a single number. shadowking Sep 27, 12:52

SOCIL will overperform. Krubino Sep 27, 15:54

SOCIL will underperform Pr0n Sep 27, 18:35

?? It will OVERperform. Krubino Sep 27, 23:57

Rottentomatoes currently 100% for SOCIAL: 6 more for perfect rare certified fresh Krubino Sep 28, 12:59

Still 100%... until Armond White comes in haha. {nm} Krubino Sep 29, 09:09

ARMOND WHITE ENTERS WITH NEGATIVE REVIEW: NOW GO SEE IT! Krubino Sep 29, 17:35

If it does OVERperform, it will not be due to those reasons. darknightz Sep 28, 16:10

Lots of them bomb, they all bomb with critics, and Social Network is NOT a spoof movie. Krubino Sep 28, 18:04

Doesn't matter how good the movie is, just how much money it makes Lucky856 Sep 28, 20:40

Yeah, that's pretty much all I can say too haha. darknightz Sep 28, 20:41

I appreciate the nice responses. Krubino Sep 28, 21:36

Yup, it gets pretty rough on some online forums; people act all tough and mean but I think HSX keeps it pretty cool. Most of the time haha {nm} darknightz Sep 28, 21:52

No reason to act like an idiot Lucky856 Sep 29, 11:11

^^Krubino's behaviour in this thread was kinda uncalled for and stupid though {nm} DomoI Oct 03, 08:04

Yeah, but then again judging by this weekend, he's not the smartest kid around.... Lucky856 Oct 03, 13:08

Look who was wrong. DomoI Oct 03, 08:11
