Anyone read the book? I looked at a copy of it yesterday. (Looked like a fast read.) The movie is fine, and better than much else, but still
not special enough to warrant very much focus - except for the fine performances.
It's a bleak world the story paints, and I wonder if characters/life can be that ugly, harsh and unforgiving in real life, in the Ozarks..

I spent 14 years just outside the Ozarks. I'd say the movie is pretty accurate in depicting the life of many there. {nm} Nov 05, 10:46
