views on YouTube-trailers for Skyline (all the various combined are way over 1,5 million views, so far - perhaps 2M or more), and considerably higher than for Unstoppable (less than 1M so far).

Is Unstoppable screened more as trailers and teasers on TV?

Also, Skyline flips pages on Twitter faster than Unstoppable, so far. So it's got *some* things going for it. That being said, Unstoppable has more star power, and appeals more broadly +Ā  of course a considerably higher theater count (although I don't know the screen counts). Unstoppable also has very good reviews - which Skyline can never hope to get (I'd be very surprised to see it ever pass 40% on RT, once it starts being weighted.. ).

He's been wrong before (and as recently as last week with Megamind). {nm} secretstalker Nov 12, 06:04

But, Unstoppable is about a runaway train, how lame is that lol... jeankie Nov 12, 06:07

And Avatar was about blue kitty people. {nm} Hooray360 Nov 12, 07:39

Both Skyline and Unstoppable did unspectacular midnight business, which isn't a big warning sign for Train movie, but is for the Aliens {nm} notfabio Nov 12, 06:04

WEll, it's worse for Unstoppable since that has to make $7.4 million more than Skyline to make its current price. secretstalker Nov 12, 06:05

Unstoppable isn't really a midnight movie,, Skyline, if it was going to break out, is. {nm} notfabio Nov 12, 06:07

but couldn't it be likely that Unstoppable gets better wom? {nm} Facto Nov 12, 06:07

I should add that Skyline didn't do terrible, just nothing to suggest 20+ or anything. {nm} notfabio Nov 12, 06:06

It needs to do 17.5ish, to reach its current price. I do believe BOP are too high, and don't really know them to be reliable forecasters... {nm} Facto Nov 12, 06:11

True, facto, but I think they will pull at leas 20 mil, but I'm not the best forecaster either lol {nm} krapnek Nov 12, 06:14

Sorry, but not being a sequel, I don't think Skyline would necessarily get people out at midnight either. {nm} secretstalker Nov 12, 06:26

Cloverfield did over 800lk for MTC, Skyline under 50k. {nm} notfabio Nov 12, 06:53

800k {nm} notfabio Nov 12, 06:53

While Skyline is about Aliens/Sci Fi it does not seem to be the type to appeal to the midnight/fanboy crowd, rather appealing to a more shadowking Nov 12, 07:14
