For instance, many people blamed R-rating for the box office failure of "Watchmen"; even Warner Bros did so (Warner Bros stopped making R-rated tentpoles after the box office failure of "Watchmen)
On the other hand, the big success of "Slumdog Millionaire" didn't lead Warner Bros to make more lower-budget specialty films. (Warner Bros will focus on making more and more tentpoles.)
