Wonder if Sony will advertise the Sandler film since it's a week before it opens

Always seemed like studios would be better off advertising films that are close to being released and could use the extra push instead of films that really don't need much advanced advertising (Pirates, Transformers 3) because they're presold blockbusters already. I remember back when WB did advertise during the game they promoted Collateral Damage during it and the film opened at number one, probably thanks a lot to the widely seen ad.

LMTLS?! Seriously?!!? Seems like a waste of money. The others make sense. {nm} HarryWarden Jan 19, 18:17

Or maybe the Super Bowl will be what puts it over the top... of $10 million :) {nm} secretstalker Jan 19, 18:44
Surprised there's no BATLA or Sucker Punch {nm} secretstalker Jan 19, 18:45
BATLA is getting one during the pregame, as is JGWIT, PRIES, and PAND2. Warner doesn't do Super Bowl so none of their films will be there. {nm} tribefan695 Jan 19, 18:50
Also, [RANGO] is getting one during the game {nm} tribefan695 Jan 19, 18:50
Why doesn't WB choose to advertise during the SB? {nm} HarryWarden Jan 19, 20:24
