TAG stands for Trailing Average Gross.
It is a measure of the box office strength in the past which would, hopefully, predict the future.
Generally, StarBonds that IPO with no past attachment are priced at approximately 1/3 of the anticipated box office of the first movie that will be part of the TAG.
There is no predictive nature of this inital TAG, so there is no adjust.
At one time, there would not be an IPO until the first movie was in the TAG, but now, from time to time, we get IPO's before the first movie.
This system goes back about 16 years, and has worked pretty pretty pretty well. Much better than the previous one.
It is important to look at the calendar. The list of adjusing bonds is published a week ahead. Folks who are new to HSX should read it. "The calendar is your friend."
When there are errors, there are posts on the Feedback or Stars boards.
