took me a while to get over here

I grew up on Tom Baker and Peter Davison (my Dad is a Dr Who tragic so I was indoctrinated indireclty), but the show jumped the shark at Sylvester McCoy (don't even talk to me about Paul McGann; when I think about him in Dr Who I have to do a kind of 'calm blue ocean, calm blue ocean' mantra except it's 'Withnail and I, Withnail and I').

The Christopher Eccleston casting locked me in for good for the reboot.
