Hey folks,
After an initial run just after high school (2001), I decided to come back this year in mid-April to try out things again. Within the past few months I've been fairly successful, raising the net worth of my portfolio more than 10 times over and hitting the top of some leagues/leaderboards.
So this is great, right? Well, fun only comes if you're able to also concentrate on the better things in life. Personally, I've refreshed Deadline's site more than I thought I ever would and have spent a number of hours on the phone looking at the up and down ticks to move that much further forward. Sure, success is there, but I can see the future. At some point, I hit 100 million, then 500, then 1 billion. I'll never catch up to those who have been around the longest, so I'll compete in my group and that's about it. Fun, but not a great endgame.
Thus, time to put the toy down. This is a great site with great people, but I need to focus on something other than OWs at this point. Thanks for the fun and we'll see you in another thirteen years.
