Just a thought about the ads....

On IE....Tools/internet options/ Security/Restricted sites.

I added the following sites:

*.doubleclick.net

http://www.google.com

https://ad.doubleclick.net

https://www.tubemogull.com

These seem to have quieted the beast, for now.
