Yes, I did lose the $40 mil. At the time of purchase I was just north of 1.971 billion. Immediately after the purchase, within a minute, I had a daily loss of $40 million) Right before the transaction I was only down about $140k. My net worth showed $1.930 billion and some change. By all known math in the universe, that it a loss of $40 million in a split second. I was charged for two (as it turns out) transactions of 150k shares at the same time...which shouldn't have happened. So essentially, The system thinks I purchased 300k shares of the stock. Each transaction cost just shy of $40 million to buy the stock. But it only shows, in the portfolio, that I have one of those transactions (obviously because the max is 150k shares). So that extra $40 mil is just gone into thin air.
