Theme Funds are IPOed at $20
Fund Managers are not allowed to trade in fund for the first day of IPO (that would cause the price to move) (example, if IPOed of Tuesday, the Fund Manager can start trading in the fund when Tuesday ends and Wednesday starts (reset game time)).
The current price of the fund is equal to how much money/value the fund has. Funds start with 20 mill cash so they are IPOed at $20. 1 mill in fund = $1 price.
Funds delist when they reach the target price of $100 (which technically means the Fund Manager has started the fund with 20 mill and has traded to make it to 100 mill).
HSX Players buying/selling or shorting/covering fund shares has no effect on the fund price and no effect on how much money the fund manager has available to invest.
Recap. Theme Funds start with 20 mill and trade until they reach 100 mill. HSX Player can invest in funds as an extra way to make money (some funds earn faster or slower based on manager, theme, market, box office trends, etc).
(Note = Studio Funds (not currently active) act in the same way as Theme Funds, except they start with 10 mill and are limited to the securities made by the Fund's studio instead of a theme).
