I make a lot of small trades and it appears that makes a difference i.e. 150K in one trade can move the needle a lot more than 15 trades of

Yes! That's what happens. I sometimes split my buys and sells into multiple small transactions specifically to avoid chuckage loss.

If I make a SINGLE trade of 150K shares & there's only another 150K vol, price should be neutral/in my direction cant go opposite

It's not the price differential so much as it is the different mixes of transaction sizes (in shares).
