I don't find this version to be as bad as their previous attempt. My pages load fine, and my port is well over $1B, so I have a LOT of stocks.
I'm not sure what pages load slow for you, but it may not be HSX. Sure, it could be them, but I find this version MUCH better than their previous attempt. I found they were willing to listen to players from the last attempt, & they made appropriate changes where they could.
I haven't found tons of people pissed off with this version...sure there are things I'd like to see different, or things from the other version that I miss here, but the site is what it is...I've found that when I offer constructive ideas to HSX, that they tend to listen more, than if I say "Your site sucks now."
They are running a business, and while the players are an integral part of this by buying and selling stocks - thus providing them with data to sell, they still need to operate their site as best as they can that satisfies the largest group of clients and players.
As I've said before, give them time...you may find that as the dust settles, and they continue to tweak the site, that they may fix some issues that have been concerns for all of us. In the meantime, I think the site is here to stay, so I'm guessing that to tell them "this sucks" is not going to make much of a difference.
We can accept the change and move on...or live in the past. If you were here 10 years ago, the site used to go down all the time, and when you logged on you got a "Scapey The Goat" picture and nothing else...no Ticker Talk, nada...zip. We couldn't short stocks in those days, could only buy 10,000 shares max, etc.
The site has come a long way since then, and I laud them for changing with the times. Who knows? At some point, maybe this version WILL be as good (or better) than the earlier ones - let's wait and see. It's an ongoing process.
