Cost descrepency

It didn't take but a minute also I was charged 1500. for the trade. Is the percentage on the amount it cost or the amount of shares? Because I bought 75000 shares which cost me 2250. This just doesn't seem right to be charged almost half what it cost me to buy the stock?
