WEBSITE NAVIGATION SUGGESTION: POP-UP BOXES!

In this day and age of wbsite design and technology how about pop up boxes when you click on a link. For example when I'm on in MY PORTFOLIO I may click on a moviestock and want to check info on it and even perhaps from there click on a link within the resulting page but then I want to close all those boxes easily. I can't stand having to constantly hit the back button and go through so many pages to return to the main page I started on, it makes me lose my original train of thought.

Otherwise aside from some of the color choices, so far so good...
