The new thriller centered on America's most infamous prison, which closed in 1963 with all its criminals supposedly transferred off the island. Det. Rebecca Madsen (Sarah Jones) discovers a murder suspect to be a former inmate who hasn't aged since he was on Alcatraz. She teams up with Alcatraz expert Dr. Diego Soto (Jorge Garcia) and government agent Emerson Hauser (Sam Neill) to stop the killer who may be the first, but won't be the last prisoner to reappear from Alcatraz. Through the course of the investigation, Madsen and Soto will learn that Hauser has known about the prison's secret history and has been awaiting the prisoners' return.
