Description

Julia Roberts plays the title character, a feisty divorced mother working as a legal secretary at a personal injury law firm.

Brockovich is strong willed with an abrasive personality that matches. Erin becomes a central force in winning one of the largest personal injury lawsuits that also sets a precedent for environmental litigation.

Steven Sodebergh directs with Danny DeVito producing. Susannah Grant wrote the first script and Richard LaGravenese (Living Out Loud) did a final polish.

Roberts received the record setting sum of $20 million for her role in Erin Brockovich.
