Based on an off-Broadway musical, Hedwig and the Angry Inch is adapted to the big screen by John Cameron Mitchell, who also directs and appears in the film. The film is about a stylish transsexual punk rocker whose former partner makes it big off songs they had worked on together. The punk rocker goes through a tough time when he realizes that his partner has not included him in the success. Mitchell also appears in the film alongside Miriam Shor. The Killer Films Production will screen at the 2001 Sundance Film Festival and will be distributed by Fine Line.
