The comedy-drama Humboldt County centers on a college kid who gets a lesson in friendship. Jeremy Strong plays a med student named Peter who is stranded in an alternative community of marijuana farmers on California�s North Coast. At first he is aghast at their lifestyle but soon takes to their eclectic personalities. Peter Bogdanovich appears as his professor father while Fairuza Balk is a singer who captures his interest. The film is written and directed by Darren Grodsky and Danny Jacobs.
