Miramax gives the Hong Kong martial arts film Iron Monkey a belated release. The 1993 film was directed by Yuen Woo-Ping, better known stateside as the action choreographer for The Matrix and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Set in 19th Century China, the Robin Hood-esque story features a masked bandit, the Iron Monkey, who steals from the corrupt rich leaders and gives to the poor. The real-life historical figures Wong Kei-Ying and his young son, Wong Fei-Hung, are called in by the corrupt leaders to investigate. Donnie Yen and Rongguang Yu star.
