As the 19th installment of the popular James Bond franchise, The World Is Not Enough is sure to include many of the elements that fans have come to expect over the years: nifty gadgets from Q's laboratory, eye-popping action sequences, sexy women, and memorable villains.
In this newest installment, James Bond (Pierce Brosnan) is hired to protect oil baroness Elektra King (Sophie Marceau), as he races to safeguard the world's oil supply. Complicating matters is the villainous Renard (Robert Carlyle), who is unable to feel pain because he has a bullet lodged in his head. To facilitate his mission, Agent 007 enlists the help of the beautiful Dr. Christmas Jones (Denise Richards), a nuclear weapons expert. Of course, Q (Desmond Llewelyn) and M (Judi Dench) will both return, as well as Valentin Zukovsky (Robbie Coltrance), the villain from Goldeneye. New to the Bond franchise is Q's assistant, R (John Cleese). Michael Apted is the director.
