The Toronto native grew up speaking Serbo-Croatian, the native language of her Yugoslavian immigrant parents. By an early age she determined she wanted to act and moved to Chicago to take acting classes. After doing some work on stage, her big break came in 1989's Blaze, directed by Ron Shelton, in which she played the title character Blaze Starr, the famed stripper who carried on a rambunctious relationship with the equally flamboyant Louisiana governor Earl Long, played by Paul Newman. Davidovich's most recent project is in another Shelton film, Play It to the Bone, in which she stars opposite Woody Harrelson and Antonio Banderas.
