Al Pacino stars in the drama People I Know. The movie chronicles a publicist who lives in New York City and must deal with issues of politics, celebrity, and his advancing age. The character is loosely based on Bobby Zarem, a longtime New York film and talent publicist. Zarem was raised in the South, attended Yale, and lives on the East Side where he frequents Elaine's. People I Know will be directed by Dan Algrant from a script by Jon Robin Baitz for Southfork Pictures. Tea Leoni and Kim Basinger co-star. Production began February 2001.
