Saving Face is a romantic comedy set in New York's Chinese-American community. A surgeon in her late twenties is flustered when her single mother shows up unannounced and pregnant. The doctor must now play matchmaker so her mother is not shamed in front of friends and family back in China. Joan Chen plays the mother while Lynn Chen plays the daughter.
