With the Superman and Batman franchises already several movies deep, and with the success of newer comic-book adaptations such as X-Men, a Spider-Man movie seems long overdue. Tobey Maguire stars as Peter Parker, the geeky high schooler who is bit by a genetically-altered spider and turns into a wall-crawling superhero. The long-awaited flick also star Kirsten Dunst as Mary Jane, Willem Dafoe as Norman Osborn, a.k.a. the Green Goblin, and James Franco as Harry Osborn. Spider-Man is directed by Sam Raimi using the script written by David Koepp (Jurassic Park).
