If Cars2 does hit mid 70's, then PANDA 2'S low boxoffice performance domestically can't be blamed on 3D overkill or too many animated movies

in a year. Without a doubt the first KUNG FU PANDA was a more poular and beloved movie than the first Cars was and many consider Cars to be possibly the weakest of all PIXAR movies. Merchandising is a different story ofcourse.

RS: [GLANT] low 50s, [POPNG] low 20s, [ARTGB] 2 million (pointing to a possible HSX wide release) secretstalker Jun 12, 16:19

Thanks. But with all due respect, are you withholding on tfrm3 number? Thnx {nm} islander Jun 12, 16:25

It's a big number but like with the other numbers we try to be vague when posting them. {nm} secretstalker Jun 12, 16:29

Okay. Hey what is everyones ( and yours) thoughts on tfrm3 trailer/ads. (IMO, looks even worse than 2) islander Jun 12, 16:38

Not sure what ads you are seeing but WOM on twitter and Facebook is that it looks like a blast and the new chick is hot. Should do big #s. {nm} filmboy20 Jun 12, 16:44

I put the poster up outside my office a few weeks ago...and just about everyone under 45 commented on it positively. {nm} Catzan Jun 12, 16:47

I think it's possible that Michael Bay may have actually gotten it right this time and TFRM3 with a shorter duration might end up being the TheSaint666 Jun 12, 16:56

Shorter runtime reported was without credits. The movie is 144 mins with them, negligible from the second's 150. {nm} dsbman Jun 12, 17:31

gonna be a HUGE opening over the 6day. never had a doubt. {nm} lobogotti Jun 12, 17:28

Fair enough. Was just curious why it went from 5-day last week to 6-day (or did I make that up?) {nm} ShawnMR Jun 12, 17:02

This is the first week for TFRM3... it's six days cause it's Weds through Monday (4th of July) {nm} secretstalker Jun 12, 17:15

Thanks, ss. What's with the secrecy on [TFRM3]? Or is RS just being sketchy due to July 4th holiday confusion...? {nm} ShawnMR Jun 12, 16:26

It doesn't really matter... RS will change that number right up until opening week just like they did with POPNG {nm} secretstalker Jun 12, 16:30

POPNG was 37 million its first two weeks, now it's down to low 20s, see what I mean? {nm} secretstalker Jun 12, 16:31

Man, Popper's Penguins numbers has dropped off drasticaly. Any chance of recovery? {nm} TheSaint666 Jun 12, 16:35

indeed, they will keep changing it higher and higher. {nm} lobogotti Jun 12, 17:28

like I've been saying, let's just say TFRM3 is a bargain at this price. gonna rip sh#t. oh, and thanks for the numbers. {nm} lobogotti Jun 12, 17:27

Sorry... newb question... what is RS? TIA {nm} SparkleMotion Jun 15, 23:57
