If you don't already have your badge you won't be able to get in. As for some tips, it depends on what you're most into
1. TV/Movies -- Hall H used to be where it's at, which is great, as it is the biggest room. Unfortunately, people camp out in there all day to make sure they attend the panel they most want to see, so therefore you might have to sit through something you don't like to see something you do.
2. Artists Alley - Great place to see many up and coming artists, find some small label/indie books.
3. Ballroom 20 - Used to be the best place for TV. Smaller than Hall H, but has the same issues of people camping out to make sure they attend the panel they want.
4. Wear deoderant and lots of it. Carry a stick in your bag to freshen up, as many do not.
5. Wear your most comfortable shoes you have. Lots of walking. Lots of standing around. And even more walking.
6. If you know someone who has a list of the parties, try to attend any that you can. Some are VIP only, some you need certain badges, and some you'll have to wait in lines longer than Hall H to try and enter. But you'll never know who you'll see/meet at these events.
7. Lots of fun stuff to explore all around the Gaslamp District... Not just Comic Con stuff, but there's stuff at venues all over.
Ummmm, I think that's it at the moment. But let me repeat... comfortable shoes, lots of water, and extra deoderant will be your best friends.

There might be some, but be careful as I'm sure there's some scammers out there selling bogus badges. {nm} Jul 11, 14:36
Even if you don't get in, take a shuttle into the area and walk around while enjoying some of the amazing cosplayers. {nm} Jul 11, 14:39
