I'm not a Nolan fanboy--I thought his Batman movies were good but overrated, and I enjoyed "Memento" and and kind of like that other one he did. Oh, and the one about the magic was so-so.
That being said--the reading of the end in the quotes was the heart of this movie for me, and that's why I'm flabergasted by all of the critics claiming the film doesn't work on an emotional level. In my eyes, it does, it's just restrained, subtle. It doesn't bonk us over the head with emotion as tends to be the norm, these days. Thought I'd chime in, here, because that quote from the article nailed it.
