Shooting up an estimated $27.4 million, the actioner 2 Guns [2GUNS] easily took the top spot of a slow weekend at the box office. The Washington-Wahlberg team-up attracted an audience that was 51% male and 77% over the age of 25.
Last weekend's number one film, The Wolverine [WOLV2] dropped 59% to $21.7 million. The X-Men sequel has earned $95.0 million.
The Smurfs 2 [SMRF2] opened in third place with just $18.2 million over the weekend, and $27.8 million since Wednesday. The sequel brought out a family crowd that was 63% female, and 63% under the age of 25.
The Conjuring [CNJUR] finished fourth at $13.7 million. The horror film has collected $108.6 million.
